GIFF presents our annual National Screenwriting Competition, which shows the work of young screenwriters to producers and representatives of the international film industry.

[eltdf_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]W[/eltdf_dropcaps]ith the goal of promoting and encouraging the creation of original screenplays that contribute to strengthening our film industry, the State of Guanajuato, the Expresión en Corto Foundation, the Society for Mexican Directors and IMCINE present the most prestigious annual Screenwriting Competition.

The winners receive cash prizes and consultations on their screenplays with industry professionals. The winners are also eligible to participate in Residencia GIFF and the exchanges that happen with our partners like Torino FilmLab (Italy), Cinemart-Rotterdam Lab (the Netherlands), Medienboard (Germany), and Cinema en Construcción (France-Spain), among others.
