The second floor of the State Auditorium will host Epicentro.
Virtual Reality and immersive experiences continue to take over the Guanajuato International Film Festival at its new venues in the state capital with the eighth edition of Epicentro, a hub for innovation and a showcase of the future of film narratives.
Attendees of this second stage can enjoy the best of national and international VR Cinema, as well as a wide selection of special shows, immersive experiences, conferences and an important link between filmmakers and Virtual Reality developers.
The screenings move to Guanajuato, and will be presented in the Interactive Room located on the second floor of the State Auditorium from July 25 to 28 starting at 10:00 a.m. Epicentro also presents the 3D Virtual Modeling workshop, taught by revolutionary multidisciplinary artist N3o, who will guide you through basic drawing and virtual modeling until you reach the creation of virtual computer experiences with artistic intent.
The Official Selection will consist of three sections:
Guardians of the Kingdom
The holy city
Metro Twenty: Blind Date
The Dream of the Jaguar’s Daughter
Der Goldene Handschuh
Ayahuasca – Kosmik Journey
Wolves in the Walls
In addition, Epicentro will feature the special Earth X, VRFestMX samples and a special presentation of four experiences. We will also have a VR Red Carpet, an immersive tool that designers, artists and costume directors can use to prototype pieces and visualize them in real time. The audience can see a virtual fashion collection created with Google Tilt Brush, superimposed on a real model through a motion capture system.
