Grandmothers by Afari Eghad, UK
A work outstanding by its technical and esthetic qualities through which it succeeds to tell the tragic history of disappearances caused by the military dictatorship in Argentina without adding more pain to it. A complex history that reconstructs collective memory through fragments, footprints and scars that remain open. A subtle combination of techniques opens windows to all subsequent mutations of the work.
