The 48-hour Collegiate Rally seeks to promote the development of new talents and encourage the enthusiasm of young filmmakers to create innovative and fresh projects within the industry. Chosen from 247 screenplays received from 22 states of the Republic, the 9 finalists undertake the adventure of a short film within 48 hours.
For the third time, an international team is in competition with Turkey as Guest of Honor at this year’s GIFF. Meeting the demands required for each short film, from the stage of pre-production to final delivery, teams have been trained in 24 specialized workshops by industry professionals, companies and filmmakers committed to filmmaking, who give their time and effort to guide these young filmmakers. The result is a short film of six minutes having as location the beautiful city of Guanajuato.
