10 years of work made available to the public in a book edited by GIFF
The university documentary contest Identity and Belonging has been supporting the formation and recognition of new generations of Guanajuato filmmakers in collaboration with the State Government in supporting the film and audiovisual industry.
During this decade, Identity and Belonging has become one of the training programs with the greatest scope and commitment to the film and sociocultural fields in this country.
This is why, in its twenty-second edition, the Guanajuato International Film Festival presents the book Our Stories – 10 years of Identity and Belonging. This book brings together the memory and oral history of this state through the perceptions of hundreds of young people, who throughout all these years have navigated their cultural contexts with the language of documentary filmmaking.
This volume will be presented by editor and filmmaker Mateo Pazzi, who coordinated the texts that make up the book, has collaborated in the editorial section of the Guanajuato International Film Festival since 2013 and in 2018 he was the director of the Identity and Belonging University Documentary Contest. We invite you to the Convention Center at 4:00 p.m.
