The university documentary competition Identity and Belonging presents its 11th edition
The Guanajuato International Film Festival reaffirms its commitment to promoting cinema in the region by presenting tenth edition of the university documentary competition Identity and Belonging, made with the support of the State Government for the promotion of film and audiovisual media. This section of the festival is intended to support the training and recognition of new generations of Guanajuato filmmakers.
The region’s filmmakers bring forth 6 projects that reflect the life and stories of our state, emphasizing the roots of their communities and contributing to give them visibility. This year’s projects deal with issues such as crafts work, street art, spaces against violence and the ancient practice of temazcal. El llano, Faroles, León es como lo pintan, Mi herencia, Pólvora and Toci are the films brought to you by this year’s young filmmakers.
To give them a welcome worthy of their effort and talent, GIFF invites you to participate in the Red Carpet that will serve as a framework for the Opening Act of this event at 11:30 in the State Auditorium.
After the Red Carpet, the documentaries will be presented from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. We look forward to having you in this event that will contribute one more year to the development of film talent our the state.
