The Guanajuato International Film Festival offers a special showing as a tribute to Lebanon, this edition’s Spotlight Country. Today at 14:00 hrs at Centro Cultural “El Nigromante” (Bellas Artes) the second program of NDU Shorts will be screened, which includes some short films presented by the festival of the same name that is celebrated in Lebanon every November.
The NDU Film Festival was founded in 2007 at the Notre Dame University de Louaize (NDU), Lebanon. Its mission is to promote the youngest filmmakers screening their films in front of a large audience, promoting talent and artistic excellence.
This Festival accepts Lebanese and international short filmss in three categories: fiction, documentary and animation. More than 5000 people attend the festival every year, including more than 50 guests from more than 30 countries.
NDU Shorts believes in offering equality of opportunities for Lebanese and foreign participants, promoting diversity, respect for dignity and human rights, as well as a preoccupation for the common good.
GIFF is proud to present this showing of short films in collaboration with the NDU Shorts Festival, demonstrating once more that cinema is one of the best ways to bring cultures together, promoting understanding among nations and widening the bonds that join the two countries.
