- Last Day of Epicenter
Epicenter is a space dedicated to presenting new technologies and transformative trends within the film industry. This year we were able to see advances in the use of virtual reality, the creation of tools that will allow for a greater performance within animation and proposals that we hope are realized and push the film industry forward in the country. Don’t miss the opportunity to see these projects and to listen to the young inventors who spend their days advancing new technologies inside and outside the movies.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until Saturday July 25 at the Auditorium of the University of Guanajuato.
- Repetition of our Visiting Feature Films:
LIFE (2015)
Director: Anton Corbijn
Life tells the story of the friendship between Dennis Stock, a photographer for Magnum, and actor James Dean. Starring Robert Pattinson and Dane Dehaan, the film focuses on a photo shoot that Stock did in 1955 for Life Magazine and the events that changed the course of both of these artists’ lives. This work, which besides putting these in a photographic journey through Los Angeles and New York and would even prolong to Indiana, changed Stock’s life and gave the world some of the most iconic images of the era.
Life will screen at the Auditorium of the University of Guanajuato at 10:00 am.
Director: Bill Pohlad
Love & Mercy is an unconventional portrait of Brian Wilson, the unstable singer, lyricist and leader of The Beach Boys. Located within the musical universe of Wilson that defined an entire era, the film is an intimate examination of this icon’s personal journey and the long road to salvation. His success came at a terrible cost.
Love & Mercy will screen at Cinemex at 5:00 pm.
