Hundreds of people attended the event and watched filmmakers, local and international personalities walk the Red Carpet, such as: Verónica Langer, Marina de Tavira, Brenda de Arrigunaga, Simona Sedlakova and Mauricio Garza.
Near the end of the Red Carpet ceremony, actors Esmeralda Pimentel and Israel Amescua walked and gave the official welcome as hosts of the inaugural presentation. It was then founder and executive director Sarah Hoch’s turn to take the mike with authorities and special guests. To close out the night, Project Glamour models dressed in summer colors and artistic elegance walked that carpet.
Everyone was then invited into the Juárez Theater to begin the screening of the inaugural film: The Heiresses, by Paraguayan writer and director Marcelo Martinessi, who enthusiastically highlighted and thanked each member of his team.
After the screening of the film, there was a Q&A session for the audience to express their concerns and ideas to the filmmaker present.
This new stage of GIFF in the capital city of Guanajuato promises a lot of cinema from morning to the next morning. Dressed in the beautiful streets of Guanajuato and the warmth of its people, this stage of GIFF is the collective celebration of an art that allows us to dream and the people who make it a reality.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
