[eltdf_dropcaps type=”normal” color=”” background_color=””]S[/eltdf_dropcaps]arah Hoch, director of the Guanajuato International Film Festival, took the stage to thank the people of Guanajuato for their support for the festival, inviting them to keep attending GIFF so together they can yell “More Cinema Please”, encouraging those present to stay and watch the Rally screening and leaving everything ready for David Granados, director of the GIFF Rally and Cecilia Gessa to host the screening ceremony.
Along with Jury Members Cecilia Gessa, Jorge Michel Grau, Roberto Fiesco, Arcelia Ramírez and Andrés Ramírez, the hosts introduced the six teams that participated in this edition of the rally: ¿Cómo fue tu día hoy?, from Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit; De a 20, by UEA Centro Universitario de Guadalajara; Lo que se viene a la mente, created by CUEC-UNAM; La Familia Terrier, by Liceo de Estudios Superiores de Queretaro; Seis, from Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila and Bienvenido Hermano by Universidad de Guanajuato Campus Salamanca.
The six-minute short, which were the result of a project for which the teams have been preparing since the beginning of the year with 22 workshops, conferences and specialized courses given by industry professionals, were screened. As for the awards, which include awards from the jury, audience and for Best Score, the winners will be announced today at the closing ceremony.
