At 16:00 hrs, the steps of the Juárez Theater were dressed up to receive three Mexican filmmakers in charge of directing three short films that make up Opera Orbis, Roberto Fiesco, Carlos Hagerman and Juan Carlos Rulfo, who walked the Red Carpet, greeted the audience and gave the press an opportunity to take photos and do interviews. Several other personalities from the film industry also attended.
With the world premiere of these films, GIFF becomes the first festival to produce Virtual Reality cinema, which means one more innovation that shows GIFF’s the commitment to incorporate technological development in cinema from its very first edition, both for the filmmaker and for the viewer.
Roberto Fiesco’s Péplum, follows 20 young people who train hard to get the title of Mr. Silao, which happens every year at the “Fuerza y Salud” gym, taking us directly into headspace of the protagonist and using interesting angles enhanced by the mirrors that are customarily located on the walls. Fiesco takes advantage of the new recording formats to deepen a lifestyle, talking about satisfaction and defeat among those with a passion for bodybuilding.
