The Music + Cinema program is becoming a GIFF tradition, offering its audience free and exciting outdoor concerts and screening important films that explore the deep relationship between the art of sound and film. This year, our musical activities will open with two bands that are on the rise and occupy an important place in the Mexican independent music scene.
The concert will begin with Arial, a band known for its electro-pop sound, as well as being comprised by members of Hello Seahorse! and Costa Felina. Currently promoting their debut single Una Vez Más, while preparing their first album. Then, as a prelude to the awaited tribute to Isela Vega and the inaugural screening of the fantastic documentary Brimstone & Glory, Quiero Club, a band from Monterrey, will take the stage to show us why they haven’t stopped making music and performing live since they made their debut album in 2006. The group will delight the audience with a selection of their latest, a combination of rock, pop and electronic music.
