Horror took over the Municipal Cemetery last night when Swiss Fright was screened. Spectators, up for an evening of frights among the gravestones, attended to enjoy short films such as Belle Comme un Coeur, Driven, Imposteur, among other from the nightmarish selection that GIFF has to offer.
To crown this night of terror, the Brazil-France co-production Good Manners, from directors Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra, appeared on the screen. In this feature film, Ana, a mysterious wealthy woman, hires nurse Clara to be the nanny for her unborn child. As the pregnancy unfolds, Ana begins to show sinister nightly habits that affect Clara directly. The audience enjoyed the lycanthropy and other harrowing stories under the night sky in the beautiful city of San Miguel de Allende.
This is how the first night among the dead was experienced at the Guanajuato International Film Festival, which has a lot to offer in the next few days. Tonight, we have the screening of The Night Eats the World, in which Sam, the protagonist, deals with the living dead that have invaded the streets of Paris. This will be followed by Espíritu del mal, the story of an anguished adolescent that finds comfort in the dark side of occultism.
Don’t miss your date with the sinister tonight at 22:00 hrs.
