THINK TANK: a proactive space for dialog and debate dedicated to finding solutions that benefit the Mexican film industry
In 2012 GIFF devised and hosted a series of Think Tanks dedicated to securing a space devoted to Mexican and international independent cinema by incorporating new technologies for content distribution and exhibition. Specialists from around the world such as Canana, Nuflick, iVOD cinepolis, iTunes México, Youtube, HBO and others met to discuss topics ranging from legislation reform, to revamping film distribution and marketing models, to applying new technologies. Throughout 2014, more specialists from various fields from within Mexico and abroad will convene to attempt to resolve issues raised during the previous Think Tanks as well as propose new ideas.
