As part of the A Summer with Bergman program that GIFF is dedicating to the Swedish cinema master on the 100th year of his birth, there will be a conference on Ingmar Bergman’s Wild Strawberries, taught by writer, journalist and scholar Perla Schwartz.
There will be an exhaustive analysis about one of Bergman’s masterpieces during this conference, in which Isak Borg, a retired medical doctor, travels from Stockholm to Lund with his pregnant daughter-in-law Marianne, to receive an honorary diploma from the University he graduated from.
Re-visit this great film with the expert guide of a specialist in cultural journalism, graduated from the Carlos Septién García School, who has spent more than four decades working in several newspapers, magazines, radio, television and web sites. Perla Schwartz is also a literature and film appreciation teacher and is currently doing her Master’s in Women’s Studies at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana.
Don’t miss this at 6:30 pm at Mesón de San Antonio in Guanajuato City.
