The Guanajuato International Film Festival reaffirms its commitment to promoting cinema from the region by presenting, for the ninth year in a row, the Identity and Belonging documentary competition, made with the support of the Guanajuato film industry. This section of the Festival that supports and recognizes new generations of filmmakers from Guanajuato.
Filmmakers from the region present 6 projects that reflect the lives and the stories from the state, emphasizing the roots of the communities and making them visible. This year’s projects deal with topics so diverse as the tradition of the viacrucis, golf and hip-hop. Anita, Bastardos Desterrados, Buscando el Green, Judas en el Rincón, Macehua y Nostalgia are the films presented for this year’s competition.
