The kick off will be at 13:00 hrs from the steps of the Juárez Theater and the six teams competing are: How was your day today? by Universidad Autónoma de Nayarit; Coin Toss by UEA Centro Universitario; What comes to mind by CUEC-UNAM; The Terrier Family by Liceo de Estudios Superiores de Querétaro; Six by Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila; and Welcome Brother by Universidad de Guanajuato.
The 48-hour Collegiate Rally seeks to promote the development of new talents and encourage the enthusiasm of young filmmakers to create innovative and fresh projects within the industry. Chosen from 186 screenplays received from 23 states in the country, the six finalists undertake the adventure of making a short film in 48 hours.
Meeting the demands required for each short film, from the pre-production to its final delivery, the teams have been trained in 22 specialized workshops by industry professionals who offer their time and effort to guide these young filmmakers. The result is a six-minute short film; the screening and the awards ceremony will be on Friday the 29th at 21:00 hrs at the Alhóndiga de Granaditas.
