Known for his work acting work in film and television series including Nosotros los Nobles and Club de Cuervos, Ianis Guerrero has starred in projects including La Bandida, Blue Demon, Casi Divas and Vuelven, among many others, while developing a parallel career as director, producer and screenwriter, directing projects in Mexico, France, and Turkey. His first feature film as director, Juan y Vanesa, was released in theaters in 2019 and is currently available on Amazon Prime. His work as a director and screenwriter has been recognized worldwide, being awarded with scholarships and residencies including Berlinale Talents, BINGER FilmLab, Prix Beaumarchais, Kars Film Prize NISI-MASA, the Mont Blanc Prize for Young Art in Direction, and script writing support from IMCINE. He has worked as a story consultant for Club de Cuervos and is currently filming a feature he wrote, directed by Rafa Lara.
As a producer, he has participated in four feature films: Malamados en la soledad todo esta permitido directed by Pedro Ramírez, Who is Samantha? Directed by Juan Pablo Cortés, Juan and Vanesa and Son of the Family by Rafa Lara as well as the documentary Princesitas de México directed by Laure Egoroff. In 2007, he created his production company Artepepan Films, named after the town he grew up in: Tepepan, Xochimilco. He is currently working on the development of several feature films and series in Mexico.
