mexicano recibi\u00f3 la Cruz de Plata y la Medalla de la Filmoteca de la UNAM<\/b><br \/>\nEn la edici\u00f3n de este a\u00f1o del Festival Internacional de Cine Guanajuato se llev\u00f3 a cabo un homenaje muy especial para reconocer la destacada trayectoria del cineasta Luis Estrada, cuyo trabajo ha dejado una profunda huella en la industria del cine y la sociedad mexicana en general. A las 19:30 horas comenz\u00f3 la alfombra roja en el Teatro del Bicentenario con la que GIFF inici\u00f3 el festejo a la destacada trayectoria de este gran director.<br \/>\nLa ceremonia fue conducida por Mois\u00e9s Arizmendi y Leticia Huijara. Esta \u00faltima reconoci\u00f3 el talento de Luis Estrada para crear un ambiente de trabajo lleno de cari\u00f1o para sus actores. La Directora Ejecutiva del GIFF, Sarah Hoch, le hizo entrega de la Cruz de Plata, distinci\u00f3n con la que el Festival reconoce a las figuras m\u00e1s destacadas de la industria f\u00edlmica. Jorge Micher, subdirector de Difusi\u00f3n de la Filmoteca de la UNAM, le entreg\u00f3 al director la Medalla de Plata de la Filmoteca. Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, Luis Estrada enfatiz\u00f3 la importancia de hacer cine con independencia y libertad, yendo a lugares donde no se ha ido y reflejando la idea que tenemos de nuestro pa\u00eds.<br \/>\nEl homenaje tambi\u00e9n cont\u00f3 con la presencia de colegas y amigos del cineasta, como el guionista Jaime Sampietro o la editora Mariana Rodr\u00edguez. En la segunda parte de la ceremonia Cuauhtli Jim\u00e9nez y Kristyan Ferrer comentaron c\u00f3mo Luis Estrada contagia su entusiasmo a la familia que ha logrado reunir para realizar su filmograf\u00eda.
