He received the guests during their trip down the Red Carpet. This time, the first one out was Atala Sarmiento, who praised the Collegiate Rally as a harbinger of new talent. She mentions how much she loves cinema. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She was followed by Mauricio Garza, who was happy to support the young filmmakers who were participating in the Rally. Up next was Jorge Aranda, who alluded to GIFF\u2019s slogan: \u00a1M\u00e1s cine por favor!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Minutes later, the Red Carpet turned into a real runway, making way for beautiful models with spectacular and exclusive designs from Project Glamour, a coming together of Mexican designers through fashion and film. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Afterwards, the radiant Esmeralda Pimentel walked once again and she expressed her joy in the fusion of these two cultures. As the night went on, industry personalities like Ver\u00f3nica Langer, who is part of the Jury in this edition,, Sof\u00eda de Llaca, Israel Amescua, Brenda de Arrigunaga, Simona Sedlakova, Pilar Pellicer, recipient of the MUSA from the Women in Film and Television Association, with her daughter, among others, walked through the carpet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Near the end, the hosts of the event,, Mar\u00eda Jos\u00e9 Mag\u00e1n and Fernando \u00c1lvarez, both expressed being happy to be there. The presence of recognized actor and this year\u2019s national tributee Dami\u00e1n Alc\u00e1zar was highlighted and met with a standing ovation from those present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Closing out the gala in a moving manner, the night\u2019s main event walked the carpet: the Lebanese community in Mexico, with GIFF executive director Sarah Hoch. \u00a0The Lebanese Center in MExico was present, as was the Lebanese Ambassador in Mexico, Sami Nmeir and his family among other special guests. A singer from that country began to sing and the audience applauded.
