{"id":20278,"date":"2018-07-27T06:53:16","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T06:53:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/giff.mx\/?p=20278"},"modified":"2018-07-27T06:53:16","modified_gmt":"2018-07-27T06:53:16","slug":"tribute-to-women-in-film-and-television","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/giff.mx\/en\/tribute-to-women-in-film-and-television\/","title":{"rendered":"Tribute to Women in Film and Television"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each year, the Guanajuato International Film Festival along with the Women in Film and Television Association, with the support of WIFT International, deliver the MUSA to two standout women in the industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Founded in 2002, WIFT seeks to recognize the work of women in audiovisual arts, as well contribute to their promotion. With these guidelines, all the women who work in this field are highlighted, be they producers, screenwriters, directors, cinematographers, editors, actresses, makeup artists, costume designers, art directors, sound designers and cultural promoters among other fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year, GIFF will pay tribute to Pilar Pellicer, an actress renowned inside and outside of Mexico for her work on sets and sceneries. We remember her work in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nazar\u00edn<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, by Master Luis Bu\u00f1uel, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Choca<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, from Mexican cinema legend Emilio \u201cEl Indio\u201d Fern\u00e1ndez, for which she won a Silver Goddess, an Ariel and a Heraldo in the same year.
