The Official Selection is made up of programs such as International Feature, Documentary Feature, Documentary Short, Fiction Short, Experimental Short, Animation Short, Official Selection Mexico Short and Official Selection Guanajuato Short\u00bf.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, GIFF features special programs. Our Special Screenings include fiction and documentary feature highlights, as well as a short film and an anthology with the best cat videos from all over the world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We celebrate 100 years from the birth of Ingmar Bergman with A Summer with Bergman, which includes a cycle of conferences and the screening of four of his films. 50 years after the social uprisings of 1968, GIFF presents a selection of films that remind us the importance of this year and shine a new light at these events.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Music + Films program includes the documentaries <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yo no soy guapo<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A morir a los desiertos<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marc Monster &amp; The Olives In Situ<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rita, El Documental<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,along with a series of concerts at the San Miguel de Allende Main Garden and at the Alh\u00f3ndiga de Granaditas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tributes to Lebanese filmmaker Ghassan Salhab, director Nadine Labaki and Mexican actor Dami\u00e1n Alc\u00e1zar incluyen also include special screenings of their films.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As if that weren\u2019t enough, the Festival\u2019s itinerary is nurtured by workshops, courses, conferences and events of all types that will make this party an unforgettable encounter with the delights of cinema.<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Like every year, in 2018 the 21st edition of the Guanajuato International Film Festival presents a selection of more than 340 films, 154 of which are in the official competition.
