Daniel Dennis y Silver Rose<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the second day in a row, the Music + Cinema stage welcomed a pair of performers who are at the forefront of the most relevant in the new generation of Mexican musicians. Once again, defying the threat of rain making its way to the event, dozens of music lovers arrived at the Main Garden of San Miguel de Allende to witness this proximity of two diametrically opposed musical genres: starting with folk pop in Daniel Dennis, followed by the strident and melancholic rock of Silver Rose.<\/p>\n

Daniel Dennis has been on the rise in the music scene, recognized for his folk with hints of pop and lyrics that lead us straight to nostalgia. Joined by colleagues from the band Ramona, in which he used to participate with his brother Joel Dennis, Daniel played songs from his album Corre el tiempo, <\/em>which includes Llamas<\/em>. During his concert, the multi-instrumental player from Tijuana played a few solo songs on guitar, including the renowned Ciclo<\/em>, A d\u00f3nde ir\u00e9<\/em> and Dame tiempo<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The beautiful Carla Sari\u00f1ana took the stage a little later. She is the architect of Silver Rose, a musical project influenced by shoegaze music and dream pop, which runs parallel to her band Ruido Rosa that put her on the map as one of the most interesting new proposals in the music scene. With an intrepid and seductive presence, Silver Rose let the best chords of that romantically distorted guitar loose to play songs such as Where I Left my Heart, Crimen<\/em> and Take me Home<\/em>. Playing songs in English and Spanish, the topics of the lyrics range from an introspective, nostalgic\u00a0 narrative which, in the end, as she herself says, reflects love at first sight.<\/p>\n

The M\u00fasica + Cinema section in San Miguel de Allende closes its activities this Sunday with Juan Cirerol and LNG\/SHT, to then move to Guanajuato City for the second stage of the Guanajuato International Film Festival.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
