Created in May of 1968 by the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des R\u00e9alisateurs de Films, the Quinzaine seeks to discover new talents in world cinema. The feature debuts of directors such as George Lucas and Martin Scorsese were discovered in this competition. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This year we are excited to find friends of GIFF among the selected filmmakers. In 2014 Niki Lindroth von Bahr was part of the Animated Short Film Official Selection with \u201cBath House\u201d, this year she is part of the Quinzaine des R\u00e9alisateurs with her stop mption short \u201cMin B\u00f6rda\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chlo\u00e9 Zhao&#8217;s 2015 film &#8220;Songs My Brothers Taught Me&#8221; was a part of GIFF&#8217;s 2015 Official Selection.
