The film`s subtle dramatic development involves and suprises as much as its impecable direction of actors, captivating audiences. The music and silences both express sensibly express the increasing dramatic culmination of events. We congratulate the young director and the Centro de Capacitaci\u00f3n Cinematogr\u00e1fica for supporting a high level proyect.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Mention \u00d3pera Prima<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>The Black Panther<\/em> by Iyari Wertta.<br \/>\nThe jury recognizes the values of originality and audacity of the director and the creativity and solidity of the production.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Short Fiction Film<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>This is Alaska <\/em>by Gunilla Heilborn, Marten Nilsson.<br \/>\nThe irony and humour of how a handful of people who feel the need to find liberation, love and a new lease of life in Alaska is beautifullly shot and refreshingly honest and charming. The images and emotions of the film stays with you long after the film ends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Short Fiction Video<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Where is Kim Basinger?<\/em> by Edouard Dulac<br \/>\nThe film of the adventures of two French men in Buenos Aires is brilliantly scripted, with top notch performances all round, and clever cinematography to bring out the comedy of an otherwise glum subject of dealing with heartbreak and love. A truly entertaining and polished comedy which will leave a smile in our hearts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Mentions Short Fiction<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Diplomacy <\/em>by Jon Goldman<br \/>\nA polished and captivating short film, which through the use of humour portraits the increasing of political tensions. Excelent screenplay and great acting.<\/p>\n<p><em>The same old story<\/em> by Jos\u00e9 Luis Montesinos<br \/>\nA moment of relfection and at the same time comic about the struggle to overcome the downsides of love in order to regain ones ex wife. This personal story set in a public space surprises us for its charm and unexpected ending.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nBest Short Documentary<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Bathing Micky<\/em> by Frida Kempff<br \/>\nThe film offers us, with a Sharp view, a vision of vital elderness far from stereotypes.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nBest Long Documentary<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Alias <\/em>by Jens Junker<br \/>\nIn Alias we found a film that moves us for its honesty and the courage with which the director invites us to follow his personal search, without any need for affectation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special Mention Long Documentary<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>World Champion <\/em>by Moonika Siimets<br \/>\nWe want to stress the portrait of a character with grace, energy and admirable vitality.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nBest Short Animation<\/strong><br \/>\nTied: <em>Babel <\/em>by Hendrick Dusollier, Estherhazy by Isabela Plucinska<\/p>\n<p>Hendrick Dusollier\u2019s <em>Babel <\/em>is a visual feast &#8212; chosen for its extraordinary scenic design, superbly stunning cinematography, and subtle lighting. The attention to detail was breathtaking in his masterpiece.<\/p>\n<p><em>Esterhazy <\/em>was chosen for its ground-breaking claymation incorporating both 2d and 3d animation techniques, stunning color, lighting schemes and incredible attention to detail.
