Habiendo estudiado la carrera de cine en la Universidad Chapman, Estados Unidos \u2014pa\u00eds donde vivi\u00f3 desde los 12 a\u00f1os\u2014, Carlos L\u00f3pez construy\u00f3 su carrera dirigiendo comerciales, videos musicales y cortometrajes. En 2015 dirigi\u00f3 su primer proyecto narrativo, un cortometraje titulado <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Identity Theft<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El filme narra la historia de Collin \u2014quien debe superar sus \u00faltimos d\u00edas de libertad condicional para tener un nuevo comienzo\u2014 y Miles, su mejor amigo de la infancia. Collin <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">es testigo de un tiroteo policial, lo que pone a prueba la amistad de los dos hombres mientras lidian con conflictos de identidad y una realidad cambiante en el vecindario donde crecieron, que se gentrifica velozmente.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Co-escrita y protagonizada por Daveed Diggs y Rafael Casal, \u00e9sta es una historia llena de energ\u00eda y humor sobre temas como la amistad o la intersecci\u00f3n de la raza y la clase en el contexto de Oakland.
